California Science Center

My Monday playgroup plans didn't work out, so I decided to take the kids to the California Science Center in Exposition Park (next to where the 1984 Olympic Games were held) The kids had a lot of fun exploring.

Nicole did some construction work,
proving that she truly has
Muir blood pulsing through her veins!.

Tyler made music with the
xylophone and bells.
A GREAT hands-on experience was had by both.

Southern California Bliss

As crazy as life can get in LA, there is one thing that is guaranteed to make everything in the world seem okay...the beach. We don't go there nearly as often as we should, considering that we are a 5 minute drive from it, but you can't beat the fun when you do get there!

We went to the beach last Saturday to fly Mike's new kite before we went to Manhattan Beach for dinner. Unfortunately there was no wind, and the sun was going down, but the kids got to play for a while!

They have built a wall of sand to protect the beach homes I guess, but my kids thought that it was a great play structure!

Pirates Adventure

Last Wednesday my friend Kathy and I took the kids to Disneyland. We decided to go on Pirates of the Caribbean, which was fun until the ride got stuck. We were there for a while, but the Disneyland staff were very good about keeping us on top of what was happening. Who knew that they could have between 800-900 people in there at one time??? ($$$)

So, here are the reactions of the kids...

Nikki and Zoe were really well behaved, Nikki even let an employee know that "We need HELP!!!"

Colin was a little put out by the hassle...

And Tyler went to sleep ;)

Have a wonderful week!

Home for the Holidays

This December started out with a trip to Utah for Kim to see her new nephew Matthew. It was love at first sight for her, he is such a sweet little person!

We spent Christmas this year at home in Sunny CA. Mike was home for the week which was great, he adds a great sense of fun, and the kids have really enjoyed having him around. We did some decorating, and holiday baking.

This was the Lego Christmas. Mike got a plane, Tyler got a castle, and Nikki also got a plane. It was fun to build, and play.

It was also the Christmas of dressing up. Nicole was Ariel (from the Little Mermaid), and Tyler was Woody (from Toy Story).

Wishing you all a wonderful 2007!
